Modified Tesla Model S Plaid

A Modified Tesla Model S Plaid Is the Fastest Vehicle Ever Produced

A customised Tesla Model S Plaid was clocked at 216 miles per hour, making it not only the world's quickest production car but also the quickest automobile ever recorded anywhere in the globe.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian business Ingexnext, which modifies automobiles, was able to use software to unlock the maximum speed of Tesla's Plaid powertrain. He did this by putting the vehicle through its paces on a track located at the Trois-Rivières airport.

As a result, the Model S Plaid was able to achieve a new record peak speed of 216 miles per hour while racing down the runway. When the vehicle's speed exceeded 185 miles per hour and it reached its limits, the needle on the speedometer changed to the red position.

The removal of a software limitation imposed by Tesla was made possible by a module that plugs directly into the hardware of the vehicle through a panel located underneath the globe box.

To ensure ideal handling that is able to support faster speeds, the vehicle was also outfitted with specialised brakes and tyres that have a higher performance rating. After making these adjustments, Launch Mode was no longer required.

Ingenext is a company that specialises in modifying Tesla vehicles. Some of the modifications that they offer include a performance boost for Model 3 All-Wheel Drive vehicles and a first-of-its-kind horsepower boost for Model 3 Standard Range Plus vehicles, which decreases the time it takes to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour by more than 0.5 seconds. In addition, the company sells parts, including original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts, for used electric vehicles.

Tesla will keep shattering records

The peak speed of the manufacturing version of the Tesla was limited to 163 miles per hour, despite the fact that the company had initially advertised a top speed of 200 miles per hour for the vehicle. Trade Mode is an additional mode that was added after the game was initially released, and it has the capability of increasing the maximum user-accessible speed to 175 miles per hour.

Although Tesla still advertises a top speed of 200 miles per hour on its website, Plaid owners often aren't able to achieve this pace in their vehicles.

It is conceivable that in the future, manufacturers will artificially restrict the power output of electric powertrains. This is due to the fact that electric motors themselves are capable of producing an even larger amount of power and will only continue to get more powerful.

It is not a question of whether the car goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.99 seconds and has a top speed that is greater than 200 miles; rather, the question is whether it is even viable or safe to have that level of performance available to consumers.

Regardless, Tesla will keep shattering records with its electric powertrains, which are capable of outperforming any other performance vehicle in terms of their raw acceleration. This will continue until we reach the point where engineering becomes too speedy for humans to handle.
